WCSU Cares Logo   WCSU Cares Student Assistance Fund Application

The WCSU Cares Student Assistance Fund was created to assist WCSU students who encounter an unforeseen financial emergency which would prevent them from continuing their education at Western. This fund is not intended to be used for routine expenses or as a consistent supplement to a student's educational funding source.

Applications for assistance will be reviewed within 2 weeks of the start date of each term. Please refer to the Academic Calendar for this information.

Applications can take up to two weeks for review. Please do not submit multiple applications for assistance for the same emergency situation as this will increase the number of submissions to review and will extend the committee's response time.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at WCSU.
  • Must be in good university standing during the term when the emergency funds would apply. This includes academic and conduct related standing.
  • Must have exhausted all other resources including applying for, and accepting, Financial Aid award offers.

After completing your request, please provide supporting documentation that outlines the nature of your emergency. This may include medical bills, repair estimates, eviction notices, or any other relevant documentation that demonstrates the financial need and urgency of your situation.

The submission of these documents is necessary for us to process your request and determine eligibility for support. All information will be kept confidential and used solely for the purpose of assessing your emergency funding application.
